I’m too busy to explain in my usual word form, so enjoy this with bullets.

• There are some fabulous stories she has, like Miss Anne’s Asleep. It’s about a teacher who dies at her desk and her first graders don’t know it. The speech teacher (who is very old) said that would happen to her one day (as a joke).
• I declined speech. You stay afterschool too much for it. FREE I AM! -flutters imaginary wings-
• My homeroom teacher is good and bad.  Ying-Yang.
• Iris has found her place. irisonastick.wordpress.com .She has started out with a fabulous post and now supports WordPress.
  

• I’m a nosy child, chiding Iris about her decisions. I just noticed that.

I’ll never bother you with my opinions again that harshly unless you ask for it. =)

I’m mad. And no, I’m not going to rewrite a whole two hundred word thing. Nobody ever reads this except for Iris, and Ada probably doesn’t bother going to my blog.

So suffer.

Okay, so for all you outsiders, I’ll sum things up: Iris tried Blog.com but she had an ad there. It’s not placed discreetly at the bottom or at the top or anything, so don’t think I’m whining. There actually had a whole /section/ for the ad, and it was called “my advertisement”. That ‘advertisement’ could contain anything; it could advertise bras and panties or whatever happened to pop up. Most blogging sites do not have ads on the actual blog part (like WordPress), so you can imagine that I was seriously trying to tell Iris to ditch it. Luckily, she did. But then brought in a worse enemy; SQUARESPACE!

Squarespace has a name similar to Myspace, so it probably has a lot of junk on it. I understand someone calling a blog host “WordPress” or even “Get your blogs here”, but Squarespace is totally uncalled for. Even Splotchy has a reason for his name (search for “Behind the Name” in that nifty search bar to the side of this text”). Another horrid thing about Squarespace is that you must pay for it. There’s a thirty day free trial, but…who wants to pay money, through the INTERNET (so like, anything could happen. Iris does not have virus control), when there’s WordPress? As you can see, I’m a die-hard WordPress fan. But apparently not die-hard enough since it’s not in my blog roll. XD

So Iris, please do us a favor, and switch to WordPress. If you say that I referred you, I’ll get bonus points! Not really, actually. WordPress does not have a refer system nor a bonus point system. But I’m sure they’d love new members.

On a good note, Iris found a better name for her blog instead of Rad Thoughts or whatever it used to be. We had a long discussion over this on MSN, and Screams and Dreams was close to winning the name race, but in the end Iris on a Stick managed to beat them all. It’d be cool if Iris’s name was Steph, like mine. Then it could be called Stephy on a Sticky, and that’s cute.

This is about my real life. So, I got invited to the Speech Team. I may have told you about this earlier, so maybe it’s not new news. Well.., today I had my mom call the teacher in charge of Speech and basically I’m on it. Tomorrow after school the teacher is going to introduce me and a few other newbies to how things work around there. It’ll be fun learning the ropes of things.

COMPARE THAT TO WORDPRESS AND SEE HOW THE BEAUTY FALLS.

Seriously…it’s loud. Like, color wise. Do YOU wear orange jeans? Do YOU wear a bright orange shirt? Do YOU dye your hair bright orange?

A thin white shirt (so thin I felt uncomfortable wearing it alone), a brown hoodie with small pink and white stars all over it that looked kind of scratchy and faded to give the vintage appeal, and my favorite Levi blue jeans. That was awesome.

The picture taking itself was simple and uneventful. I had my picture taken two times because the first time this half gray-half blonde haired woman said that there had a glare in my glasses. She didn’t really adjust my position much, and didn’t move my head like some of the other students.

In other more interesting news:

Later tonight I also got a new box to play in. It’s from Staples, and is big enough for me to sit in it.  Uhh…that’s about it. Iris is thinking about changing her blog. I’ll have to update my blogroll. It’s hard for her to decide on a name. I keep suggesting for her to use “Iris’s Smile” or “Iris’s =)” but she doesn’t like it much. Hopefully the name will be much better than Rad Thoughts or whatever her current blog’s name is.  If you readers ever need a decent blog name, you should always consider this:

Is this a serious blog?

Is this supposed to be a joke, or something I’ll rarely post in?

If Iris does go ahead and get a new blog (she says it’s going to be at Blog.com) then I’ll add the new blog on my blogroll but keep the old there for memories. Enjoy looking at the old, forgotten blog. =)  Ada’s blog has been a bit…forgotten as well. I’m going to have to check it out again and see if she keeps doing her ant posts. The posts I do are centipede posts. She does ant posts. If your posts are medium in length (175 words or around that) they are beetle posts.

YAY FOR BUG POSTS

I dunno…, it just disappoints me to see people be arrogant and stick with IE because it comes default on their computer.  Why not download Firefox, or other web browsers like Safari? I haven’t downloaded any uncommon browsers like Safari yet, but maybe one day I will.

In a few minutes, according to what my mom told me (could take hours), my mom’s going to download Firefox. I plan to glue myself right by her side and guide her through /everything/ of downloading Firefox. That’s how loyal I am.

So, after I finished my whole happy spiel I went on mozilla.com to look at some of the add-ons they have for Firefox. Most of them are stuff I’d never use, like a sidebar for Google, but there had one which allowed you to easily navigate to your blog and write new posts and another one which was a dictionary. There wasn’t much info available on the dictionary one, so for all I know it could be a sidebar or a simple icon on your computer. From the one-sentence description they gave, it’s supposed to support Firefox’s automatic spellcheck. -shrug- For easy access to dictionaries so I can search up things super fast, I think I’m just going to add dictionary.com to my search engine thing near the top right of my screen. There’s other online dictionary sites that I use, but seriously, if you want a decent online dictionary use dictionary.com. I used to use m-w.com (M-w stands for Merriam Webster) since it’s pretty good, but the site is littered with ads that usually have popups along with them. Plus, on some words you have to install some special dictionary on your computer. The ‘special’ dictionary probably doesn’t have any viruses since it’s supported by m-w.com, but I do not like randomly downloading junk and then trashing the icon in my recycle bin.

To sum this all up, I’ll end my amazingly long post into one sentence:

Here’s a short description of life that has recently changed:

• I dread school. My teacher, ever since the beginning, gets up on me for simple things. Some things I agree on but still detest, some things I have no idea why she would yell at me for.

• My hair used to be long, like, almost to my elbow. I recently got my hair cut above my shoulders. Yesterday, I played with my hair a bit. It’s now in this short, stubby ponytail thing. I took the ponytail, lifted it up against my head, and put a hairclip (a head-eater) over it. So basically, now my ponytail is kinda high up. The end of it spews out sort of, like a waterfall. XD Odd description. Tomorrow, for school I plan on wearing it. But my teacher may get mad at me for either having a distracting hairstyle (in the handbook, hairstyles can’t be weird like mohawks. It’s a private school, blame them for it) or having too many hair accessories (again, I go to a private school and anything remotely exotic is forbidden. In the handbook, they used the word ‘prohibited’. That’s harsh).
• At this very second which I am writing, three pot pies sit up in the oven, cooking. I love pot pies. Guess what flavor they are by putting your guesses in the comment box below. To make it easy for your pitiful brain, I’ll give you a selection of pot pie flavors to choose from. My pot pies could be: Chicken, Beef, Tuna, or Turkey.
• Last night my dad brought over friends and they played hard rock music. You know, that screamo-stuff I dislike. This lasted for like, six hours. My mom was basically the bar maid for all the drunkees littered around; she went to the liquor store like, two times and bought that expensive bottled beer. We almost never get that.
• At my house, we could make a movie called “Invasion of the Flies”. Last night, the same night the drunkees visited, we ordered pizza. I got a sausage and onion pizza when I wanted sausage (ah well, that’s beyond the point). Flies like, invaded our food and when I came up there to ambush them they stuck to our ceiling. Our ceiling is pretty high up, so from there I was pretty stuck. At this moment of time, flies are littered our windows. I’m sort of scared…maybe our world will be ruled by flies or something. To perk up my visit back to Splotchy, I’m gonna give you a music video from Youtube on “Invasion” by Eisley. I’ve posted Invasion here before, but that was almost two months ago (by the way, celebrate. I finally organized my bookmarks and Eisley isn’t taking it over anymore. Eisley has its own folder).

• Speaking of Eisley, I just got Eisley’s album “Combinations”. I love it. No other words less.
• Today, I also got a printer hooked up to my computer. I can print stuff out now. -dance-

This was a monster post. But that’s okay, I always do monster posts. Or, at least, usually do monsters.

Anyhow, I’m going to start getting use to my new life on Splotchy. So many things have happened….don’t plan on me explaining to you what happened in the past, like how my first day of school went this year and how much I detest my teacher at times.

By the way, I noticed an update on WordPress. When I make my messages, they now count how many words my message has. Sort of convenient, eh?

This post won’t be that long, so I’m going to fill it up with worthless crap to make it big since all my posts have to be big. xD

The score on the posting war was…I’m not sure. But you can see for yourself that I won. -nod-

Maybe Iris and I should pair up as sister blogs and try to out-post Ada’s blog. That might be difficult, since Ada has ant posts.

Yeah, I made up a new lingo for blogs. Ant posts are tiny posts that come in large numbers, like ants.

Not sure how they’re clones, but ah well. Right now I just want another war to win, and I need to get Ada to sign my guest book.

Anyhow, here’s that update of things:

Remember Moses? Well…his owners moved a few cities away, and they couldn’t take him. So, guess who gets him? ME! –huggles Moe-

The house he used to be at is now empty, so he basically has nowhere to go. We’re the only one feeding him too. Boy, he gets hungry. I mean, one time we gave him some left over fried chicken (I protested that we shouldn’t give it to him because the bones could splinter, but my dad didn’t listen. Ah well, he didn’t get injured so that’s good) and he ate the plate it was on until I took it away. O_O It was a paper plate, so it’s not really bad for him since you can eat paper and not get hurt, but still.

Moses is my chore now, which is great. I got train him, tie him up at night (he somehow gets out, so I’ll have to figure out something), and even sometimes help feed him. Not too bad; doesn’t seem like much work since it’s summer and a scorching one hundred degrees so all he does is lay around. xD

Another thing is that school’s coming up tomorrow, so celebrate people. I love school. My new backpack isn’t even that heavy, so I’m basically thrilled. No new students this year, though, which is a bummer. Heh, at my school if you’re new you get drooled on. I think it’s mostly because the principle and teachers ask us to be nice to him/her and all….

But that’s fine. Nice to be overly-welcomed. Another bummer is that my gym teacher must’ve got promoted or something, ‘cause she’s the new teacher for my grade. Ehh…sometimes I don’t feel like being too preppy, so I wonder how this is going to work since she’s really preppy and into noise and loudness. Plus, during gym I was giggling while we did speed stacks, and you know I was making little to no noise. Well, she scolded me and made me sit up front. -.-

Backtalk isn’t good, but if she gets on me for laughing during class…I’m sure going to share the little fact that laughing extends your life by five seconds. In a polite way, too.

Like, “I’m not meaning to backtalk or anything, but you know, laughing is extremely healthy for you. Extends your life by five seconds, which is more than enough for me.”

She might not take it well, though, so it’s a so-so thing I got to decide to say if the scene ever comes up.

Oh, and I’m interested in who’s the new gym teacher too. Hopefully whoever it is, they’ll hopefully be a female.

Not trying to be a sexist, but usually girls are a bit softer when it comes to learning. Just my opinion, don’t bash me. xD Hey, I moderate the comments, so…FEAR MEH.

Well nothing much has really been going on. Recently Iris and I got into a fight since I said she was acting different and even suggested she was alien because the new movie “The Invasion” is coming out on the seventeenth. Then I said that she was a slug, or the alien was slug because you know, Animorphs. There had slugs who got into people and controlled them, and they were called Yeerks. xD

Heh. Iris, if you’re reading this, I guess I’m sorry. Just maybe consider me a bit and give answers instead of being lazy of things.

Example:

“LOL, LOOK AT THE FATTY!”

“Where’s the fatty?”

“I dunno, search for it?”

Yeah…..I don’t get delighted when I hear that.

At home dinner is like, one for oneself. Every few days, when I want something to be fixed, I’ll ask my mom, “What’s for dinner?” and she’ll be like, “Find it.” Once I complain to her that hey, she’s a parent and needs to fix stuff, she’ll say, “Well, what do you want?”

I always need, and want of course, something /good/. Nutritious, and tasteful. But, since I’ve never really experienced a full dinner with meat, veggies, fruits, and…whatever comes next I seriously don’t know what to say. When I do say that, I feel like I’m requesting a Thanksgiving feast. It sounds like I am too when I list out the stuff here, but…it isn’t supposed to be like that. One day my mom went on a business trip for four days, and so I was stuck home with my dad who can’t cook much of anything. My grandma came over, and she was WONDERFUL with cooking. -hugs grandma, even though she probably isn’t reading this- I mean, one night I had a roast, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, even dressing maybe. Okay, so the meal is missing fruits. But oh well, it was awesome and I got more than full. At home, regularly, I don’t get that kind of stuff. It’s more along the lines of some macaroni and cheese, and just that. Whatever comes next is something I have to find. Plus, we don’t even sit at a table. I take my food and eat it downstairs, and my mom eats her share, if she even takes any, in her bedroom. My dad eats late at night since he’s too busy hanging outside. It’s amazing that he can consume crusty macaroni and cheese once it’s been there for like, hours and not even care.

To get to the point, at school I shall get semi-balanced meals. They aren’t the best, but the cooks have a good heart and I appreciate that. The food’s great, but I don’t like that you only get this tiny wee cup of fruit, FROM A CAN. Canned fruit looses its…specialness.

And, of course, at school I’ll meet people. There I’ll finally have a life and not spend fifteen hours on the computer like I do right now. Mmmm…fifteen hours is a long time, isn’t it? But I’m not exaggerating the truth, I get on it around 9:30 in the morning and get off at ten at night. -counts- That makes thirteen hours, but…I was close. Besides, before my mom made a curfew since school was coming up so it used to be fifteen.
Come on, things can’t get any more low if your only friend is someone who lives more than a thousand miles away. Hehe, reminds me of Hey There Delilah. Unlike some people, though, I’m not obsessed with the song.

One more thing, people. Yesterday I had a nutritious salad. Yeah, great isn’t it? What’s real cool is that on the package, right in big letters on the front, it said it had ICEBERG LETTUCE. Whooo hoo! Lettuce on icebergs. Doesn’t surprise me, because the lettuce was sort of pale….

No, it’s not some ‘dirty’ site. Why they named it that I have no idea. But seriously, people, it’s just a blog.
